Witch Showdown in Westerham is Here!
It’s been a while, but Lily’s back with another magical, squirrelly adventure. She’s finally got the squirrel army of her dreams, but that’s not as good as it sounds. Now she’ll be worrying about them. Okay, no more info. If you want to know what happens, you’ll have to read the book. Anyway, this was a fun one to write, and now it’s done, I’m writing the next Avery book, and once that’s done, it’s back to Lily. Phew! I will say that I never thought, when I wrote the first PIB book in 2018 that I’d ever do 19 of them. I’m so grateful to everyone who loves the series. All your messages bring me so much joy, and of course, your continued support means I can keep those books coming. My childhood dream is well and truly a reality, to thank you!
Happy reading. I hope you love this book as much as I do.

Morons Incorporated Driving School – producing drivers of impeccable idiocy
As you all know, if you’ve read my posts, in my previous life I was a property valuer. This job involved lots and lots of driving, usually between 100-300 km per day, five days a week, for many, many years – you get the picture. In my time on Sydney’s traffic-filled...

Boobs, boobs, boobs
Hey, got everyone’s attention now? That’s good. This post isn’t actually about boobs, believe it or not. I know they’re a good subject, especially if you’re a hetero man – the reason that is my heading is, we (my tweep friends and I) were advised by another friend...
Ah, to be young again…
The other day I was at the shops, or as you American’s say – the mall, and my three year old boy kept running ahead, jumping, hopping and getting in people’s way. He ignored my repeated, half shouts (caught between demanding a response and being embarrassed) to stop...
Danger: Do Not Enter
Hello! Another day, another blog post. I have scoured my memory banks and have come up with a couple of lovely experiences I had while working as a property valuer. For those of you who don’t know, a property valuer inspects houses, looks at sales evidence, then...
The glory of words
Words. Language. Throughout my life some of the most enjoyable and frustrating memories involve my good use of, or not so great use of, words. We’ve all had those times where someone is being a total pain or asshole and we think of the good comeback after it’s all...
Five movie clichés that make me want to chew my own arm off with my grandmother’s dentures.
Like lots of you out there, I love watching movies. I love funny films, drama, quirky, action – you name it, I’ll watch it, however, there are instances in a lot of movies where I cringe and think, ‘Not again. Why, oh why is this happening? Please stop, now!” Here...
A Creepy Interlude
Husband and I were in the car, me driving. I had just helped him move his dinghy and been pushed into a bush; no biggie, right? We were on our way to a friend's place via a busy road with no lanes in which to pullover. I felt something delicately feather my ear so...
Lucky Dip Laksa
Hello, how is everyone? Today I’m talking about takeaway food, you know, the sort that is prepared and cooked by somebody else, in a place you have no control over. How safe is it to eat takeaway or café food? How do you pick where it is safe to eat? I’m not too...
