Witch Showdown in Westerham is Here!
It’s been a while, but Lily’s back with another magical, squirrelly adventure. She’s finally got the squirrel army of her dreams, but that’s not as good as it sounds. Now she’ll be worrying about them. Okay, no more info. If you want to know what happens, you’ll have to read the book. Anyway, this was a fun one to write, and now it’s done, I’m writing the next Avery book, and once that’s done, it’s back to Lily. Phew! I will say that I never thought, when I wrote the first PIB book in 2018 that I’d ever do 19 of them. I’m so grateful to everyone who loves the series. All your messages bring me so much joy, and of course, your continued support means I can keep those books coming. My childhood dream is well and truly a reality, to thank you!
Happy reading. I hope you love this book as much as I do.

Flash Fiction – For a limited time only
I'm entering the Stringy Bark flash fiction competition. It has to have a link to Australia. Part of the comp is a micro fiction of less than 100 words. I thought I'd post mine, which will be taken down after I've entered the competition. Outback Lament Cicadas...
Fifty Shades of Poo
Sunday. What to do on a Sunday when it’s freezing? Go out of Sydney and to a hobby farm of course. I’m a city girl, but I quite like the countryside and love animals (yes I eat them too, but nobody’s perfect). The only catch was getting up early. As I get older I love...
What? Shadows of the Realm is in a ‘Real’ Bookshop?
Part of my blog post is probably going to piss a few people off. I'm sorry in advance, and want you to know that I'll still love you if you disagree with what I have to say—it's not personal, it's sensible. I have an opinion and I'm not afraid to wave it around...
How to Find a Trustworthy Editor
Ok, so you’ve read my previous post on my not-so-great experience with Jessica Hollis-Brown, a fraudulent, so-called editor. I’ve had an enormous response from a lot of people, many of whom I’ve never met. This has restored my faith in humans. Along with this...
Beware of Scam Editors – Jessica Hollis Brown (Now Jessica A Hollis)
Ok guys, this is a post that I didn’t really want to do, but felt it was my only option. When I decided to self publish my book I wanted to do it right. The only way to do a good job was to get it edited. I chose someone I met on Twitter (yes I know not everyone on...
Do You Like Voting? Boy, Have I Got Something For You!
I know some of us absolutely love voting, and elections can never come around quickly enough. So, lucky then that the Sydney Writers Centre is holding a blog competition. I won't bore you with any details, except to say, vote for me, vote for me now! Sorry for...
A Chain Blog With a Difference and The Number 7
Ok, so I’ve been tagged by Tonya (my fantabulous editor). This is kind of like a chain letter, which I never do, but this one actually looks fun (and there are no unfortunate consequences like, ‘you will grow a moustache overnight’ or ‘you will be banned from Twitter...
Nostalgic Pizza
For those of you who don't know, I'm doing a creative writing degree at the moment. Every week for our 'Genre' subject I have to do a short written exercise and this week's was on food. I've written a kind of food memoir, I suppose you'd call it, and it's the first...
Podcast 6 – A Hairy Encounter With Author Jane Isaac
I was squealing with delight today as Amber and I finally got to have a real chat with one of our great Twitter friends, author Jane Isaac. She’s so nice and didn’t even mind wandering off the topic of her book to chat back, crack and sack waxes. Awesome Jane, you...
Tweep Nation Podcast 4 – Yes We’re Still Here 😉
Hey everyone. Our guest for this episode is a cool writer/editor, Scott Morgan @Write_Hook. He fit right in with Amber and I and even likes penning silly lyrics to songs (my kind of guy). Join us for more fun and brief moments of intelligence (mostly on the part of...
