One of my dear friends (I’ve always wanted to say that) has just released his literary collection of short stories as a paperback through a boutique publisher. Justin Bog is another indie success story. He’s studied and taught writing and works as an editor and author. His short stories are poignant and confronting explorations into human nature.
The vibrant cover, which hints at one of the stories in the collection yet is a bright contradiction to the darkness inside, is artwork painted by his late father and would look awesome on your bookshelf. Order your paperback now through US bookstores or buy the ebook at Amazon. You can also find Justin on Twitter @JustinBog and his website.
PAPERBACK! YAY!
I woke up thinking the same thing in all caps too, Kim! Wow…a writing dream comes true today. LOVE your support 🙂
Funnily, I just started reading the e-book version last night! I don’t know why it took me so long to pick it up. From the first story I’ve read so far, I think Justin’s writing has great depth and show’s he’s an intelligent observer of human nature. As you know, Dionne, I love very human short stories! 😉 Is the paperback only available in the US?
Thank you, Melinda, for reading the tales 🙂 And your kind words. By the end of today the book should be available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and in the iBookstore for paperback and eBook in the countries they offer books to…crossing fingers here. I am also working on making the book available to Kobo readers and other eReaders by February 10th.
Great! Thanks for keeping us posted, and all the best with your book!
Reblogged this on Cinta's Corner and commented:
Sandcastle and Other Stories Available as Paperback!
Thanks a lot for helping to spread the word, A! Wonderful news to wake up to 🙂
You are welcome. But… why did you call me A?
Me being silly — A is for Austenite 🙂
Ah, ok LOL That confused me 😀
Thank you, Dionne, for the terrific shout out. You are a wonderful friend and writer—I love the journey we’ve taken in ” the book life” this past year…good and easy laughter along the way. I know my dad was very happy that his art graced the book’s cover. The Green Darner Press paperback is still uploading to bookstores today, and I (and you too: looking forward to Dallas in the Fall) finally get to hold a copy around Happy Hour…come join me (everyone is welcome), drinks are on me 🙂
It was my pleasure, Justin 🙂
Congrats to you, Justin! Thanks for sharing the good news Dionne. I really loved this book 😀
Always a pleasure, M.E.–it’s so nice to stay in the thickening writing life. Best to you.
The book is not available in India.
It should be available through Amazon.
hi Dionne, and umashankar…I checked the Amazon site and both the ebook and paperback, for unknown reasons, are not available from Amazon in India. I will do more research and let you know what I find out. Sorry.
