Ok, so I’ve been tagged by Tonya (my fantabulous editor).  This is kind of like a chain letter, which I never do, but this one actually looks fun (and there are no unfortunate consequences like, ‘you will grow a moustache overnight’ or ‘you will be banned from Twitter for life’ if you don’t participate).  And since I get to promote my new book (that’s out in a couple of weeks) I thought I’d jump in.  So, what do I have to do?  These were my instructions:

  1. Go to page 7 or 77 in your current manuscript
  2. Go to line 7
  3. Copy down the next 7 lines as they are (no cheating)
  4. Tag 7 other authors

So here we go, from Shadows of the Realm, page 7:

“This morning had started the same as any other for the olive-skinned, young woman until her aunt had changed everything.  Without ceremony or tact, which was usually her way, Avruellen had told her niece they would be leaving home indefinitely – Bronwyn had understood that to mean they were never coming back.  Her aunt wouldn’t tell her where they were going.  Well,” (I’ve stopped there, so I didn’t cheat and my ‘well’ is dangling in the breeze, waiting to be joined by its friends).

This is where Bronwyn’s adventure starts. She could never anticipate the things she sees in the wider world – some of them quite gruesome.  And before the end of the book she may be wishing she never left home.  I wonder what happens…

So who to tag?  Please forgive me but, eenie, meenie, minie, moe:

  1. Trish Nicholson
  2. Charity Parkerson
  3. Justin Bog (Ok I know you’re double tagged but anyway)
  4. Amber Norrgard
  5. Melissa Craig
  6. Ciara Ballintyne
  7. Jane Isaac (you have a second one in the works, I know you do)

Ok, so that’s seven people I’ve now annoyed.  Do I get a prize?
